1756809 - Error Message in Report: Parameter Does Not Exist

Symptom

You are trying to execute a report, however once you click on it and open it , you face a Parameter error message:

Parameter ABC does not exist.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to the Design Reports view.
  3. Search for your report.

You will see an error message like this, for example:

Parameter PARA_ACCYRPER (MKFC FINCACU04_ROB_01) does not exist

Cause

The report is inconsistent as a parameter no longer exists in the data source where the report is based or the parameter has been removed from the report.

Resolution

In order to solve this error problem, the report needs to be recompiled again which will remove the inconsistency.

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to the Design and Assign Reports View.
  3. Select your report.
  4. Click on Edit With -> Report Wizard button, this will open a new screen.
  5. You will see a message in the bottom of the screen saying that the Parameter has been removed.
  6. Click on Finish button.
