1757250 - Profit Margin Option has been De-scoped But it is Still Shown in the 'Pricing and Invoicing' tab of the Sales Order

Symptom

Profit margin option has been de-scoped but it is still shown in the Pricing & Invoicing tab of the sales order.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Show All Projects.
  4. Select the relevant project.
  5. Edit the Project Scope.
  6. Navigate to fourth step Questions.
  7. Go to General Business Data and select the Product and Service Pricing.
  8. Select No for the question Calculation of Profit Margin in Sales Price Specifications.
  9. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  10. Go to the Sales Orders view.
  11. Show All Orders and Find ABC (ABC represents the ID of the sales order).
  12. Edit the sales order and select the View All button.
  13. Go to the Pricing and Invoicing tab.

The amount of the Profit Margin is still available in the sales order.

Cause

The pricing has not been updated in the sales order which was created before the changes done in scoping.

Resolution

Follow below steps to update the pricing in the sales order:

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Orders view.
  3. Show All Orders and Find ABC (ABC represents the ID of the sales order).
  4. Edit the sales order and select the View All button.
  5. Go to the Pricing and Invoicing tab.
  6. Under Total Pricing section -> Select Update Pricing - Completely (If no price component was manually added in the Sales Order).
    If any manual price component was added in the Sales Order, then select Update Pricing - Keep Manual Changes.
  7. Save the order.

Now the the sales order will not show the Profit Margin Component in the Pricing and Invoicing tab.
