1761917 - Error "user is not authorized" or "invalidated view" when executing or activating an Analytic Object

Symptom

1. When you attempt to activate an Analytic Object (Attribute, Analytic or Calculation View) from HANA Studio, the activation fails and the job log displays an error similar to the ones listed below: 

  • “Internal deployment of object failed;Repository: Encountered an error in repository runtime extension;Internal Error:Create Scenario: failed aCalcEngine.createScenario(): The following errors occured: user is not authorized (2950)nnprinting XML (...)”;
  • “Internal deployment of object failed;Repository: Encountered an error in repository runtime extension;Internal Error:Deploy Attribute View: SQL: transaction rolled back by an internal error: insufficient privilege: Not authorized (ptime/query/plan_executor/ddl/qx_cube.cc:1560) nCreate view DDL statement:(...)” ;
  • "SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><createCubeResult version="1.0"><status><message>Error during executing SQL statement</message><errorCode>2116</errorCode></status>(...)<message>insufficient privilege: Not authorized at ptime/query/plan_executor/ddl/qx_cube.cc:1560</message>(...)".

2. When executing query (Data Preview for instance) on top of an Analytic Object you face the following error on the output window:

  • “SAP DBTech JDBC: [391]: invalidated view:  your.package/YOUR_ANALYTIC_OBJECT(…)”
