1762121 - Error Message "DD.MM.YYYY1 to DD.MM.YYYY2; Company Name of Main Address Incomplete for Org Unit ()"

You are trying to to check or activate an org unit/org structure, but system throws error message "DD.MM.YYYY1 to DD.MM.YYYY2; company name of main address incomplete for org unit ()" — where DD.MM.YYYY1 stands for an actual date in day-month-year format and DD.MM.YYYY2 stands for date posterior to DD.MM.YYYY1.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Access Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Select the relevant org unit.
4. Click either Check > Check Selected Structure or Activate > Activate Selected Structure.
5. Error occurs.

The cause for this error message is that Company Name is missing in the addresses of some of the org units for the time period specified in the error message.

In order to resolve the issue, follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Access Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
3. Set the Effective From date as DD.MM.YYYY1 (i.e. the earliest date mentioned in the error message).
4. Select the relevant org unit.
5. Go to the Addresses tab.
6. Maintain data for the Company Name field under Main Address.
7. Repeat the steps 4 to 6 for other affected Org units (if any).
