Symptom

  • Error during the installation of SAP Information Steward 4.0 when  connecting to a repository  database residing on a SQL Server server instance.
  • Validation results: Error: "Invalid information steward repository connection information".
  • The setupengine.log in the  %temp% shows the following error lines:

UIICCValidator: RepoTestConnection -  Test Connection for JDBC Failed.
Validation Failed for : ISRepoDBType
 Calling Validator Entry Point..
