1767444 - Can’t access portal as assigned desktop is corrupt or inaccessible

Symptom

  • Users are unable to logon onto the portal as the desktop assigned to the user is corrupt
  • Users may receive error: red exclamation mark along with a link for "Log Off" similar to below:

  • Users may receive the following error when trying to login
    "Error occurred while trying to access framework page:
    pcd:portal_content/<...>/frameworkpage, The object does not exist or you
    are not authorized to access it..."
  • An error similar to the following can be found within the default trace file;
    "[EXCEPTION]
    com.sap.portal.desktop.BadDesktopException: Could not get desktop with URL portal_content/ABC/Systeme/com.ABC.Portal_Desktop/ABC_7_31_Desktop theme=sap_tradeshow

    OR

    [EXCEPTION]
