Symptom

Cannot import SAP role and get "Error 500: javax.servlet.ServletException:javax.servlet.ServletException:com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException"

Environment

  • Business intelligence platform 4 SP4
  • Websphere 6.1.0.43

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon Central Management Console.
  2. Click Authentication->SAP.
  3. Insert information in Entitlement Systems.
  4. Click Role Import tab.
    Get "Error 500: javax.servlet.ServletException:javax.servlet.ServletException:com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException".

Resolution

  1. Modify config.websphere6 and add:
    JCoStandalone=true
  2. Predeploy boe.war application with
    Unix: ./wdeploy.sh websphere6 -DAPP=BOE predeploy
    Windows: wdeploy.bat websphere6 -DAPP=BOE predeploy
  3. Use the Websphere admin console to undeploy and delete the BOE web application in Websphere. Not do an update to redeploy the new BOE webapp.
  4. Use the websphere admin console and redeploy the new BOE.ear predeployed.
  5. Restart Websphere.
