Symptom

  • BI 4.0 Web Intelligence reporting off of SAP BW BEx query via BICs.
  • Attempt to connect with any query results in error message: 'For input string: "500,0000" (WIS 00000)'.
  • Note the presence of the comma separator and for digits trailing the comma separator in the error message.
  • In SAP BW, the RSADMIN entries show the following values:
    1000CHAR ,
    BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_DEF 500,0000
    BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX 500,0000
