1775161 - Changing data source removes merged dimensions from the report in Web Intelligence

Symptom

  • After changing the data source on a multi-providers Web Intelligence document, the merged dimensions present in the graphs and table are removed. However, they still display fine in the 'Available Objects' panel.

Environment

  • SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 SP04

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Launch Web Intelligence Rich Client (WRC)
  2. Edit the report
  3. Go to Data Access > Tools > Change Source
  4. Select a new data source
  5. map the fields
  6. Click Finish

Cause

  • The issue has been identified as a Product defect: # ADAPT01672439

Resolution

  • Issue is fixed with Patch 4.9 of BI4.0 SP04
  • Limitation: Fix will work for simple change datasource scenario .unv to .unv
