1776400 - BI4 Dashboard Cache Server is not working as expected

The Dashboard Cache server is not displaying metrics indicating that caching is occurring.

Dashboard Cache Server is not creating cache files under the [path_to_installation]\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data\XcelsiusCachingServer\temp\[server_name].DashboardsCacheServer\parent\cache directory. 

On occasion, the web application server may require a restart due to caching.

Perform the following steps

1. Log into the Central Management Console (CMC).
2. Select "Applications" from the menu area.
3. Right click on Dashboards and select properties.
4. Place a checkmark in the Activate Dashboards web service query endpoint to optimize web service query requests statement.
5. Save and close.

View Dashboard

1. View a dashboard.
2. Note Dashboard Server metrics reflect caching.
3. Open the cache directory [path_to_installation]\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\Data\XcelsiusCachingServer\temp\[server_name].DashboardsCacheServer\parent\cache and view a cache file has been created.
