  • BI starts ok, but embedded db2 instance does not start correctly.
  • The db2diag.log file displays the following:

           "No Storage Available for allocation"

DATA #1 : Memory set handle, PD_TYPE_OSS_MEM_SET_HDL, 48 bytes

FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, routine_infrastructure, sqlerFmpThreadInit, probe:20
MESSAGE : Failure during health monitor thread initialization
DATA #1 : Hexdump, 4 bytes



  • SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 SP4
  • Bundled DB2 Workgroup Edition 9.7.1 (for CMS)
  • CPU cores higher than 16 (i.e. cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor | wc -l 32)
