1779252 - Error: "Failed to get connections for connection [...] using session locale [English]" when connecting to SAP HANA from Analysis for OLAP in BI4.x.

Symptom

  • When creating an OLAP connection to SAP HANA, the step to "Connect to server to choose a cube:" is selected and Username/Password is entered, the following error message appears:

"Failed to get connections for connection [...] using session locale [English]" and a cube cannot be selected, where ... denotes the Server name entered for the connection.

  • When the OLAP connection is selected in Analysis for OLAP, the same error message appears:

"Failed to get connections for connection [...] using session locale [English]"
