Symptom

  • When performing an installation of the product, the following error is encountered.
    "Failed to update cache for execution. Program will exit."

  • Following error is displayed in install logs:
    Error: Could not move temp dest folder to dest folder.
    Error: Temp dest folder: D:\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\tmp\tp.sap.jvm-6.1-core-64.18
    Error: Dest folder:    D:\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\InstallCache\tp.sap.jvm-6.1-core-64\14.0.0.760\
    Error: Class name:   class Poco::FileAccessDeniedException
    Error: Display text: Access to file denied: \\?\D:\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\tmp\tp.sap.jvm-6.1-core-64.18
    CopyOrReplaceAtomic: Attempt #1 failed.
    Error: Could not delete temp dest folder: D:\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\tmp\tp.sap.jvm-6.1-core-64.18\
    Error: Class name:   class Poco::FileException
    Error: Display text: File access error: directory not empty: \\?\D:\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\tmp\tp.sap.jvm-6.1-core-64.18
