1782343 - GAC assigns a Canada record to the secondary level when there is no secondary information on input, and there are multiple possible secondary assignments for the address - Data Services

Symptom

  • Wrong secondary address assignment.
  • Some Canada addresses are incorrectly appending secondary information and assigning .
  • Postcode Priority Over Street option is set to Yes when this bad assignment occurs.
  • When Postcode Priority Over Street option is set to No, the assignment is not made to the secondary level, and an info code is returned indicating secondary information is needed.
  • Address should have an info code about secondary address, not automatically assign it to a random one.
  • Global Address Cleanse (GAC) is assigning a unit number or building number to an address that didn't have one on input, when it shouldn't be able to make that decision.
