Symptom

ActiveX viewer can't be installed when applying Crystal Reports runtime(CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_3.msi)

Environment

  • Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
  • CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_3.msi

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Run CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_3.msi in the Windows Server 2008(or Windows 7).
  2. Check the following folder after the installation is completed.

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\Crystal Reports 2011\

  1. crystalreportviewers folder is not generated and ActiveX viewer is not installed.

 

 

Cause

ActiveX Viewer can't be installed when Windows OS machines does not have IIS.

Resolution

Manually install ActiveX Viewer if required.
