Symptom
You run the reports of Aging List for Receivables and Accounts Receivable - Trial Balance for the same selection criteria, but there is value difference, and you can see that the value in the Aging List for Receivables report is decimal number, while in the Accounts Receivable - Trial Balance report, there is only integer, which causes the value difference.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Receivables work center, and select the Reports view.
- Select the List subview.
- Open the Aging List for Receivables report.
- In the selection criteria, set Today as Cut Off Date, and also choose the required Display Currency.
- Click Go.
- In the result, check the Outstanding Amount, and you can see the value is decimal number.
Then
- Go to General Ledger work center, and select the Reports view.
- Select the List subview.
- Open the Accounts Receivable - Trial Balance report.
- In the selection criteria, set Year to Date as Accounting Period/Year, and also set the same currency as that in the Aging List for Receivables report.
- In the result, check the Ending balance, and you can see the value is integer.
- You can see the total has value difference with the Outstanding Amount in Aging List for Receivables report, which is caused by the decimal part in the decimal number.
Cause
Because in the report, you set two decimal places for the key figures in the Aging List for Receivables report, this is why the value is displayed as decimal number.
Resolution
In order to get the value in the Aging List for Receivables report as integer, follow the steps below:
- Open the Aging List for Receivables report, and go to Settings.
- Select Key Figures.
- In the Key Figure Settings, go to the Specific tab.
- For all Key Figures, set the Decimal Places a 0.
- Press OK.
Then all the key figures are displayed as integers.
