1786439 - Unable to do Time Recording due to Error Message: Project task XYZ-1 of the external company A1 is not possible

You are unable to record time for a service performed on a project XYZ  because of an error message: Project task XYZ-1 of the external company A1 is not possible .

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Home work center.
2. Select  Self Services Overview  view.
3. Select Edit Time Sheet under Time header.

There are two companies set up in work center Organizational Management: A1 and A2.

An employee of Company A2 is the responsible person for project task XYZ and the responsible person for project task ABC is employee of company A1.

By default only internal employee of Company A1 is allowed to record time on this task.

You belong to Company A2 , So system displays the error message that you cannot record times for the external project .

To overcome this error message, the employee who want to record the times has to be a service agent of company A1.

The service agent should be assigned to the company A1.

Then system allows the employee to record the times for the project task assigned to company A1.

1. Go to Business partners data work center
2. Go to Business partners
3. Search for employee
4. Click on create as an choose Service agent and enter all details
5. and save
