1793070 - VMC doesn't start after installing new kernel

Symptom

  • VMC is not Active in the instance.
  • You can't activate VMC in SM52 (Menu VMC > Activate).
  • Error shown in SM52 (Menu VMC > Error information):

 Virtual Machine    <VM_nr>
 VM Error Text    FindClass com/sap/vmc/bootstrap/Bootstrap failed

You may also get short dumps because VMC is not activated:
