1800071 - ORA-12545 when connecting to the database in Fail Safe environments

Symptom

When SAP processes try to establish a connection to a database that is clustered using Oracle Fail Safe in a Microsoft Cluster, the relevant log files (work process traces, trans.log) contain the following error:
