1801727 - Error "Account Determination Group is Missing for Product Category" in Purchase Order Assigned to G/L Account

It is not possible to post a Purchase Order due to the error: Account Determination Group is Missing for Product Category. However, a General Ledger Account was manually entered in the tab Account Assignment. It is unclear why the Product Category needs to be maintained in the fine-tuning activity Default Account Determination Groups for Product Categories.
