Symptom
Removal of Availability Check Scope values maintained in the product master data is required, after deactivating the Product Availability Check in business configuration scoping.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Business Configuration work center.
- Go to Implementation Projects view.
- Select the relevant project and choose Edit Project Scope.
- In the guided activity, navigate to the Scoping tab.
- Under All Scoping Elements, select Supply Chain Planning and Control.
- Choose Demand Management and Order Confirmation.
- Deselect the checkbox Product Availability Check.
- Go to Product Data work center.
- Choose Products view.
- Search for the relevant Product ID.
- Choose Edit and Choose View All
- Go to Availability Confirmation tab.
- Select the relevant Planning Area.
- Observe the field Availability Check Scope, values remain visible in the dropdown list.
Cause
- It is not possible to remove the values maintained in Availability Check Scope in the Product Master Data.
- These values are retained to ensure consistency in order processing and would lead to errors during sales order creation.
- The system requires these values to validate and release customer demand for execution.
Resolution
- This is standard system behavior.
- Deactivation of Product Availability Check in scoping does not remove existing values from product master data.
