1803970 - SBOP BI 4.x: Errors IES 10901, WIS 10901 and "The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application" when creating a Web Intelligence report

Symptom

  • Error: "Database error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application. (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)" while generating Web Intelligence report in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.x.
  • Error: "[] <com.businessobjects.dsl.commons.exception.NestedException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application" while querying the tables through Show Values under a dimension in Information Design Tool (IDT).
  • A user is unable to assign DSN created under System DSN tab of ODBC Data Sources Administrator (odbcad32.exe) in the properties of the Relational connection in IDT.
