Creating Several Semantic partitioned the partitioned are Numbered in below manner.
For Example :
If you create a several partition for Cube ZCUBE.Partitions will be named as ZCUBE1,ZCUBE2,ZCUBE3.
if you delete ZCUBE3 and create a new partition this will be named as ZCUBE4.
We have 3 partitions namely ZCUBE1,ZCUBE2,ZCUB4.
Eventhough ZCUBE3 is deleted partitions are automatically incremented by 1.This is not taking the Free Partition ZCUBE3.
