Symptom

  • An Enterprise .NET web application to view Crystal report fails with below error message on development machine.

Failed to Retrieve report, Error : Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {C0C99FA5- E1D3-494E-BE0C- 73C19424F91C} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040154.

  • Application is migrated from BI 4.0 SP04 patch 6 and was working fine earlier.
  • SP05 .NET SDK is overwritten on (installed on top of) SP04 .NET SDK.
