1808609 - Import file parsing exception occurred : 'The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.' (FWM 04009)

Symptom

  • When promoting objects through the Promotion Manager tool, the promotion may fail with the following message:
    Commit Status=Commit attempted and failed./ Promotion Status=Failure : Object has failed to promote.  Please see the log file for more details.

    The AdaptiveJobserver log reports the following:
    Import file parsing exception occurred : 'The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.' (FWM 04009)
  • Also, when Migrating using the Upgrade Management Tool (UMT) BIAR to Live, the error message is displayed in the client:
    Import file parsing exception occurred : 'The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.' (FWM 04009)
