Symptom

  • DataSource is not a hierarchy DataSource Since the currently selected access method ASCIIHIER does not support this, it cannot be used anymore
  • No valid converter Since the currently selected access method BAPI does not support this, it cannot be used anymore
  • Extraction for this DataSource not possible
  • The Proposal tab of the DataSource lists the Converter as Hierarchy Fixed Length even though Transactional Data was selected when creating the DataSource
  • When navigating to the Fields tab of the DataSource a message appears at the bottom of the screen: For the data type D only 1 segment is possible
