1816435 - Category scenario formula and account rollup in the package - FC

Symptom

The rollup (automatic aggregation) from a child account to his parent does not work properly in the package when the setting in the category scenario is not properly defined.

In fact, at package level, consistency and coherence in term of set up in the Category Scenario is crucial to allow both formula & rollup calculation to work properly.
In the package, all calculations are performed on the fly based on the definition in the Category Scenario, and this applies to both formula calculation and account rollup (automatic aggregation).
All calculations at package level are driven by the setting in the Category Scenario.
A formula to calculate an object (such as an account) can work only if the object is clearly identified in the dimensional analysis (if the object is part of a filter the formula can’t find the object since it is hidden by the filter).
The rollup or automatic aggregation to the parent account level can only work if both the child and the parent accounts have the same dimensional analysis structure as well.
Within a Category Scenario, a filter and an elementary value are not the same object hence if the dimensional analysis of a child account is defined using an elementary value then to have the automatic rollup the dimensional analysis of the parent account should also be defined using the same elementary value.

The issue does not appear at consolidated level as the rollup calculation is performed by the rollup rule that has a more flexible approach than the rollup behavior defined by the Category Scenario.
