Symptom

  • Error when opening SPM report
  • "No data found for this time range" message when navigating to Invoice Detail report.
  • "java.lang.NullPointerException" error message selecting the "Detail Reports" > "Invoice Detail" option, but the data always returns.
  • Event Error occured from server Failed
  • java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sap.analytics.aui.bi.bics.BicsMetadataBrowser.getVariableMembers(BicsMetadataBrowser.java:794 (Full error in the See Also section)
  • java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.ip.bi.base.application.variableprocessor.IVariableProcessor.getVariable(java.lang.String) of an object loaded from local variable 'variableProcessor' (Full error in the See Also section)
