Symptom

User want to display a file assigned to a document info record (DIR) and error message 26172 - File cannot be created - is raised. This kind of error message could be raised from different transactions like

  • CV03N
  • CDESK
  • EasyDMS 
  • etc.

Based on the error message text it is hard to get an idea why this kind of error is raised because there could be several reasons like

  • Download from Content Server
  • Download path on your PC
