1820474 - DS 4.1 job failing with: CRFC error: RFC_LOGON_FAILURE- Password must be changed.

Symptom

  • DS job extracting from SAP Application via ABAP interface is failing after upgrade to Data Services 4.1
  • DS job extracting via Open Hub from BW is failing after upgrade to Data Services 4.1
  • Unable to use R3 RFC with 4.1 
  • In errorlog of DS job error similar to:
    Cannot connect to SAP Applications datastore <R3_DS> using host
    <somehost.somewherel.com>, client <001>, user <ds_user>, and system
    number <00: CRFC error: RFC_LOGON_FAILURE- Password must be changed.
