1825057 - How to Change Fiscal Year Variant

You want to change the Fiscal Year Variant XXX to YYY (XXX and YYY represents the years your want to change from and to).

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center and navigate to the Implementation Projects view.
2. Select the First Implementation Project and open the Activity List.
3. In the Integrate and Extend phase find the Set of Books activity. If your system is live you can find this activity in the Overview view. Open it via Change Immediately.
4. Select the desired Set of Books ID and press Edit.
5. In the General tab you see that fiscal year variant XXX is selected whereas you require the fiscal year variant to be YYY.

It is not possible to switch to a different fiscal year variant for a set of books if journal entries exist for that set of books.

You can change the Fiscal Year Variant from the existing set of book for which no postings exist by first deleting all the existing Fiscal Years, then changing the fiscal year variant and finally creating the fiscal years again.

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. In the Master Data view, select the Companies subview.
3. Select the respective company and press Edit Fiscal Year.
4. Select/highlight all the fiscal year(s), for which you intend to change the fiscal year variant, and choose Delete Fiscal Year.
5. Now go to the Set of Books activity as described above.
6. Select the desired Set of Books ID and press Edit.
7. Change the Fiscal Year Variant and press Save.
8. At last create the Fiscal Year(s) again in the Master Data - Companies view of the General Ledger work center.
