Symptom

  • Custom formatted number in Web Intelligence report is exporting as date to MS Excel 2007 after upgrading
  • Exports from WebI to MS Excel 2007 are changing a custom number format to a date in BI 4, which did not occur in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1
  • The custom format is:..'$'#,#00.0
  • Removing the '$' from the customization corrects the issue
