1825538 - Check boxes or any other symbol inserted in a WebI report using Wingding font is not visible when the report is saved as PDF

Symptom

  • When trying to export Web Intelligence report having checkboxes or any other symbol to PDF, they are not visible in PDF output.
  • For the Webi report in Business Objects XIR2 SP5 version the checkboxes in fonts Wingdings have been used which are converted into PDF output correctly.
  • For the Webi report in BI4.0 SP4 FP6 the same fonts Wingdings have been used but they are not converted into PDF output correctly.
