1825904 - Unable to to initiate a connection to dswsbobje and no access to Tomcat ROOT

Symptom

  • Rrror message: Could not initiate connection. Check the Web Service URL when trying to connect to XI 4 system.
  • When opening URL:http://server:8080/dswsbobje/services/Session in browser, message saying to enable REST support in Axis2 is returned
  • The dswsbobje/Session service does not to run and the services list is empty even though the tomcat configuration between a working system and a non-working system are identical.
  • Accessing Tomcat ROOT fails, for example trying to access index.html in ROOT does not work.
