Symptom

DUMP DATABASE or LOAD DATABASE to a tape device fails with Backupserver error "8.6.2.1: The format of the device configuration file /sybase/backup_tape.cfg is invalid. Remove the configuration file and reconfigure the device by issuing a DUMP with the INIT qualifier. Return code = 0."
