1828379 - Profit Center Missing On Reports

You are not able to see profit centers on Account Payables - Trial Balance report.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to General Ledger and select Reports.
2. Open the report Account Payables - Trial Balance.
3. Enter the values in the respective fields.
4. Move Profit Center from the Not Currently Shown to Rows.
5. Click Go.

Here you will see that none of the entry displayed in the report has profit center value assigned.

These steps are also applicable for the following reports.

1. Account Payables - Trial Balance
2. Account Receivables - Trial Balance
3. Account Payables - Line Items
4. Account Receivables - Line Items

You have maintained reporting principle Function of Cost and Profit center/segment for set of books. This reporting principle does not support profit center derivation and because of this profit center is not derived for the Supplier/Customer invoice.

Due to this report is not able to display data based on the profit center.

If you would like supplier/customer invoice to derive the profit center you need to change the reporting principle to profit center or segment with clearing for the set of books.

To do so, follow the below steps.

1. Navigate to Business Configuration and select Implementation Project.
2. Select the implementation project and click Open Activity List.
3. Navigate to Fine Tune tab.
4. Search for activity Set Of Books and open it.
5. Select the appropriate set of books and click Edit.
6. Navigate to General tab and change the value of field Reporting Principle from the dropdown list.
7. Click Save.

After the changes are performed, all the account receivables/payables posting will derive profit center and these detail will be displayed in respective reports.
