Symptom

  • Unable to use Explorer
  • Error "Failed to retrieve the list of explorable entities from the server. Request timed out." when opening Explorer from both URL and BI Launchpad
  • After the error message there are no data sources or contents available in Explorer - Source Unavailable
  • Restarting the Explorer servers or the SIA do not help
  • Explorer Exploration server log contains:
    Failed to contact master. Flushing ServiceLocator cache..
    server '<node_name>.ExplorerExplorationServer' workload notification sending failed:
