• A WebI report retrieves data from a Business Explorer (BEx) query using BICS
• The query contains a variable with a hierarchical list of values (LOV)
• The InfoObject in Business Warehouse (BW) has the long text characteristic set as the display characteristic for these values
• The long text characteristic is also set on the BEx query
• When the WebI report is refreshed, the parameter prompt window displays the hierarchy with short text characteristics
