1829302 - The Form Template Selected for the Order Pipeline Documents is not the Expected One

Symptom

The form template selected for the Order Pipeline documents is not the expected one.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Field Service and Repair work center.
  2. Go to the Order Pipeline view.
  3. Show All Orders to be Executed and Find XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the order).
  4. Select the Preview button.
  5. The PDF form appeared is not the expected one.
  6. Now open the order pipeline document XYZ and select the Edit Output Settings.
  7. You are expecting the form template ABC to be picked, which is not available for the selection.

Cause

The form template ABC which you are expecting belong to form template group Order to Service Performer, however for the Order Pipeline documents only the template group Service Order is allowed.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior of SAP Business ByDesign system.

If you want to have similar form as ABC for the Order Pipeline, then you have to create it for the form template group Service Orders:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Business Flexibility view.
  3. Go to the Form Template Maintenance subview.
  4. Search for the existing form templates of Service Orders group.
  5. Select & Copy a form template.
  6. Go to the Easy form Editor and select Add.
  7. Do the required changes as per your requirement or as it was done for the form template ABC (ABC represents the ID of the form template).
  8. Save and Publish the form template.

Now this form template can be selected for the Order Pipeline document.

If you always want the new form template to be picked for the Order Pipeline documents, then you can maintain the rule accordingly:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Input and Output Management view.
  3. Go to the Form Template Selection subview.
  4. Show Rules for Service Orders and select the Go button..
  5. Edit DEF (DEF represents the ID of the newly created form template for order pipeline document).
  6. In the next screen, select the form template code DEF and add other details in the rule if required.
  7. Save the rule.
