When using saphostctrl to setup remote monitoring of the HANA database as outlined in SAP note #1625203, executing command
/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostctrl -function GetDatabaseStatus -dbname <SID> -dbtype hdb
fails with error:
'Get all database properties' failed: Database type 'hdb' is not supported or unknown
The error is also reported in the logfiles of the saphostagent: /usr/sap/hostctrl/work/dev_sapdbctrl
