1831549 - After kernel upgrade to 7.20, AS JAVA does not start due to a shared memory issue

Symptom

  • The AS Java does not start after upgrading the Kernel to 720.
  • In the dev_server0 trace file, you will see the following errors

          " [Thr 01] NiInit3: NI already initialized; param 'maxHandles' ignored

            [Thr 01] MPI: dynamic quotas disabled.
            [Thr 01] MPI init: pipes=4000 buffers=1279 reserved=383 quota=10%

            [Thr 01] *** ERROR => ShmCreate( ATTACH 62, 86655056) failed 1 [mpixx_mt.c   1063]
            [Thr 01] *** ERROR => FcaInit: MpiInit failed (rc=MPI_ERROR: General error(1)) [fcaxxcomm_mt 955]
            [Thr 01] *** ERROR => JLaunchInitializeNatives: failed to initialize
            com.sap.bc.proj.jstartup.fca.FCAProperties [jhvmxx_mt.c  327]
            [Thr 01] *** ERROR => could not initalize native components
            [jlnchxx_mt.c 512]
            [Thr 01] SigISetIgnoreAction : SIG_IGN for signal SIGCHLD
            [Thr 01] JLaunchCloseProgram: good bye (exitcode = 1) "

  • In the std_server0.out file, you will also see the following

          " [Thr 01] MtxInit: 10001 0 2
            [Thr 01] *** ERROR => JfcaInit(): Native FCA layer broken: 1 ***unknown
            error occurred*** [sfxxjfca_mt. 5298]

            Critical Error
            initialization of native components failed  -> Unknown error code (rc = 1) "
