Symptom

Clicking the cancel button from Print to PDF dialog box does not allow the application to redirect to a different page through a button click event.

This only happens when there is ADOBE PDF client is installed on the machine which configures the Print to PDF dialog box.
Environment
- Visual Studio 2010
- Crystal report for Visual Studio 2010 SP5
- Web Application.
Reproducing the Issue

Develop a Crystal Reports .net web application.

Drop a button on the web form where the CR viewer is placed.

Set the print mode property of the viewer to 'pdf'.

On the button click event write the code to redirect to another web form.

Run the application and view the report in the viewer.

Click print button from the viewer which will bring up the print to pdf dialog.

Cancel it and then click the button.

Observe the behavior, the button click does not redirect to another page instead it postbacks and stays on the same page.
Cause

This Issue has been identified as a bug and tracked under problem id : ADAPT01686886.

The target fix is Service Pack 6

Resolution
This issue has now been resolved in SAP Crystal Reports Developer for Visual Studio Service Pack 6
