1838339 - Error: "CMS is not started giving up" while installing SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 on Unix or linux environments in cluster to existing setup.

Symptom

  • During installation of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 in clustering with another environment, setup fails with error:  [error] [PostInstallScripts::WaitForCMS] CMS is not started, giving up
  • Error observed in system level (OS level) logs: The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: This CMS will not startup because the current time on this computer and the current time on the computer of the CMS called ""<SERVER NAME>:6400"" is different by more than 18 minutes.
  • CMS is unstable and will shutdown immediately. Reason: This CMS will not startup because the current time on this computer and the current time on the computer of the CMS called ""<SERVER NAME>:6400"" is different by more than 18 minutes.
