Symptom

Production roll out issue: EADDRINUSE and DecryptPasswordError:

    • Test case study on a real life production issue based on these 2 errors happening simultaneously:
    • A) ERROR 1: Starting the Agentry Server again while it is already running.  The error appears in the Events log as:
      Exception: 09:55:16 01/08/2010 : 2 (Socket Error), EADDRINUSE (EADDRINUSE, ), /home/buildslave/BuildBotSlave/agentry-server
      centos5/5.0/source_buildbo t/Syclo/Socket/unix/sockets.cpp#908:ListeningStreamSocket::OSListeningSocket::listenOn
    • B) ERROR 2: A user will receive a DecryptPasswordError when using the mobile device (client) that had previously connected to the development server was
      also connected to the production server.
