Symptom

  • Intermittently error thrown: "Failed to open connection" while viewing a Crystal Report based off Universe from InfoView in BOE XI 3.1
  • This issue is identified with those Crystal Reports which prints a barcode.
  • A Crystal Report works fine in Crystal Reports 2008 however the issue appears when we view it on demand through InfoView/CMC.
