Cause
- Parameter prompt screen in Crystal Reports uses JavaScript to display the list of values, and buttons.
- The reason it does not display any List of Values, and the buttons are not functional on the parameter prompt screen, it's because scripting is disabled on the computer.
Resolution
- Enable Active Scripting in the Internet Options:
-
In MS Windows, open the Internet Options
- In MS Windows search bar, search for: Internet Options
- In the search result, click on: Internet Options
- In "Internet Properties", select the tab "Security"
- Under "Select a zone to view or change security settings", select: "Local intranet"
- In "Security level for this zone", click on "Custom level..."
- In "Security Settings - Local Intranet Zone", scroll down to the section: "Scripting"
- Under "Scripting", enable the option: "Active Scripting"
- Click "OK"
- Back to "Internet Properties", click: "Apply"
- Then click: "OK"
- NOTE: If it does not help, contact your IT Administrator, as this setting can be controled by your company global setting, and they may have chosen to disable scripting.
