1845226 - Cannot add table with a column having Decfloat data type in DB2 to Crystal Reports.

Symptom

"Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: Not implemented" error is occurred on adding table from DB2.

Environment

  • SAP Crystal Reports 2011 SP5
  • DB2 10.1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a table with a column having Decfloat data type using DB2 database.
  2. Create a new report in Crystal Reports.
  3. Select DB2 type of connectivity and add the table to the Selected Tables list.
  4. An error, "Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: Not implemented" is occurred.

Resolution

  1. Change the DB2 connection to ODBC or JDBC connection.
  2. Create a new Blank Report.
  3. Create a new connection using ODBC(RDO) or JDBC(JNDI )type of connectivity.
  4. Add the table to the Selected Tables list.
