1846171 - Error: "The data source 'Generic ODBC3 datasource' is not supported." when attempting to create a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise

Symptom

  • When attempting to create a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise, it generates the error:
      
       "The data source 'Generic ODBC3 data source' is not supported."
      
  • In the Information Design Tool (IDT), it is possible to create a Secured Connection using "Generic ODBC3 data source" driver, buit it does not work in Crystal Reports for Enterprise.
