Symptom

When scheduling a Desktop Intelligence report to an SMTP Destination, the following error is returned:

  • server error. [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]: [Error initializing SMTP server.  Return code: [SMTP 421 - Service not available, closing transmission channel.]. Reason: [(SMTPServerName):25].]
