Symptom

  • EPM tab is not available on Excel interface.

  • On Excel COM Add-ins window, the EPM add-in for Microsoft Office was not loaded:

Location: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\SAP BusinessObjects\EPM Add-in\FPMXLClient.Shim.dll
Load Behavior: Not Loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in.

  • On Excel Add-ins windows, FPMXLClient.TechnicalCategory cannot be found:

Cannot find add-in 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\SAP BusinessObjects\EPM Add-in\FPMXLClient.Shim.dll'. Delete from list?
